In May 2008 new evidence allowed Kevin Sweeney to file an application
with the Dutch Supreme Court for a re-trial. This new evidence was
startling and revealed the reason why the Dutch authorities were so
determined to convict him and to keep him quiet over the last 13 years.
Put bluntly, it was the Dutch police and emergency services who were
responsible for the death of Sweeney's wife Suzanne Davies in July 1995
- and since that time the Dutch authorities have been trying to cover-up
the facts.
Since 2007 there has been much public comment about the Sweeney case in
the Netherlands and the case has featured in many newspapers, books and
television programmes. Not surprisingly, since March 2008 the Dutch
Ministry of Justice has provided Kevin Sweeney with the ability to
return home on weekends and he was finally released on the 22nd August.
At no stage did Kevin Sweeney admit any liability or guilt in respect of
the charges against him.
Although Kevin Sweeney was released from custody on the 22nd August 2008 -
his fight against Dutch Judicial Corruption not only continues,
but it now escalates as he holds individual members of the Dutch
judiciary, prosecution ministry and police responsible for the
staggering degree of Dutch official corruption in his case.
Kevin Sweeney will now be naming, shaming, and bringing proceedings
against the individuals whom
maliciously perverted the course of justice and engaged in corruption.
This web site will continue to provide information on these matters.
